There are no plans to turn the Eiffel Tower into a giant tree. 
Le Figaro magazine reported that there was a $93 million proposal to cover the Tower with 600,000 baskets of shrubbery to make it look like an 81-story plant. But the president of the committee that overseas the tower says it’s not gonna happen.
