Today we welcome back one of my favorite members of “Purtan’s People” who brought a lot of laughs to my radio show for a lot of years. We also welcome a new sponsor to the Podcast — Marygrove Awnings. (That’s me sitting under one of my two in the picture below!) And now on with the show!

You look very relaxed........
I laughed out loud at Joe's suggestion of a reunion show and then rolling it out to a daily show...........very funny!
Dick you still have nice legs! lmao...joking
I can't wait until Fridays.....miss y'all so much!!
Thoroughly enjoyed hearing Joe today! Today was hysterical - thanks for the highlight of my day!
It's amazing how quickly 17 minutes and 14 seconds goes! I agree with Joe. You should do this daily from 6am to 10am! Think about it. No annoying songs to interrupt you. So, so happy you're back. Your voices were sorely missed.
Since you're not governed by the FCC rules anymore, bring back Tom Ryan and the put-on calls. A former mayor I know should be #1 on the list.
I speak for all your fans in hoping you expand your podcasts.
so glad you are back - missed hearing you everyday.
hi purtannnnnnnnnnn
I ditto most everything stated below. I would be really happy with an hour podcast
M-F AND the Best Of Purtan on Saturday. Four hours a day is too much to expect.
B.T.W., I WILL be giving Marygrove a call.
Wonderful
And I do miss all of you!
Podfully yours
DIck....you even make me listen to commercials and love it . Oh how I miss you and your people. Thank you for these podcasts. And it was wonderful to hear Joe again!!
Ya gotta stop doing these podcasts. It's depressing the heck out of me that so much talent is not on the radio. Thank you for doing these podcasts. I really think you could do an hour (or more) a day and sell air time and everything you used to do. Sounds like a real job, but quite frankly I believe you love (with a passion) being on the air and would simply be doing what you love and we would get the benefit hearing true talent.
Thanks you guys, the Podcast just keep getting better and better . Miss all of you 's . can't wait for the next show. Lots of laughs. Thanks again.
Hi Dick;
I moved away from the greater Detroit area 5 years ago, and now live in North Idaho. What a pleasure to hear your voice, comedy and general banter again. I've listened to your show since the "Whow Boy's" were a feature! Still makes me laugh when I think about it. You and Tom Ryan....what a combination. And I loved Mary, the little gal that did all the skits with you guys for so many years. I talked to her once on one of your location broadcasts in the Airstream. I asked her if she was Mary, and she said to me, "No, I'm not married". She looked at me and we both broke out laughing. She was quick and very funny.
By the way, what ever happened to Airstream? What a great way it was to get you out to your many fans....
wow this is great dick keep this going this is class i love it max kerner grand blanc thanks max
Enjoyed hearing most recent podcast, especially the anecdotes about Peter Falk who gave us so many years of entertainment.
It's so good to hear your voice again. After you left the air, I purchased an HD radio for my car because there isn't anyone worth listening to in the morning.
